TOWNSEND ROD & GUN RIFLE RANGE RULES 

THESE RULES ARE NOT OPTIONAL 

1. Handguns and shotguns are also allowed on the Rifle Range when used in accordance with Rifle Range rules/restrictions below.  

2. Firearms must be unloaded and placed in provided stands with actions open when not in use. Do not carry guns downrange. 

3. All guns must be unloaded before you leave the range with the exception of holstered LTC carried handguns. Uncased guns must be carried muzzle up to, from and within the range area.

4. Down Range Warning System MUST be used at all times whether

others are present or not.  See separate DRWS document.

5.Target frames and bases are provided by TRG. They are the ONLY ones to be used. Position your paper targets on the frame so that your bullets will hit the 100 yard backstop. Do NOT set objects on the target bases and do not shoot at targets anywhere on the flat ground. Clay targets are allowed to be placed on the 100 yard backstop only.                     ALL BULLETS MUST IMPACT THE 100 YARD BACKSTOP.

All shooting must be from the firing line in the covered shooting area 

6. All shots must be "aimed fire: from the shoulder.

7. Firearm, ammunition, and other restrictions;

Trigger types - MA legal only, no binary, forced reset, or bumpstock

No full automatic 

No 50 BMG rifles

No sound suppressed rifles

No tracer rounds (fire hazard)

No Green Tip or other AP rounds on steel gongs

No Exploding targets

No Bottles, cans and other junk targets
