TOWNSEND ROD & GUN GENERAL FIREARMS RANGE RULES
FOR RIFLE, HANDGUN, ACTION, TRAP AND BLACK POWDER RANGES.
RULES FOR INDIVIDUAL RANGES FOLLOW
THESE ARE NOT OPTIONAL
1. Range hours are 9AM to SUNSET seven days a week. TRG STRICTLY ENFORCES THIS.
2. When a Range Committee representative is present, their judgment on issues is final.
3. Marijuana and other illicit drugs are not allowed anywhere on club property. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed at any of the ranges. NO member or nonmember is allowed on the range if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4. Hearing and Eye protection REQUIRED for all shooters and spectators.
5. All persons using the Rifle, Handgun, Action or Shotgun ranges are required to have the appropriate MA licenses, except when accompanied by a member who does possess such licenses. Any such person shall remain under the direct supervision of said member at all times. A person attending a club sanctioned course of instruction shall not be required to comply with the above requirements, provided, however, that they shall remain at all times under the direct supervision of the licensed instructor.
6. Clean up after yourself. Place spent cartridges in the brass buckets and put your trash in the trash bins.Put your target frames away. MOST
IMPORTANTLY place all defective ammo in the DUD boxes at the left ends of the Rifle/Handgun ranges
7. Shooting at Club structures is not allowed.Any person caught doing so will be suspended and restitution will be required for damage done.
8. All shots must be "aimed fire". NO SPRAY & PRAY strafing of the range. Rapid fire is discouraged. No "fancy gun play" like gun spinning.
9. Ranges may be closed per order of the BOD during other events. Range closings will be announced by TRG email and by range closure signage at the ranges
