Airgun Range Rules

Indoor Range Eye protection shall be worn AT ALL TIMES on this range. NO EXCEPTIONS!

General:

• Use of club equipment (guns, targets, ammo, etc.) is restricted to use in airgun classes by registered students with instructor supervision.

• Use of personal equipment airgun equipment (eg. air rifles/pistols, ammo, targets, chronographs, etc.) is allowed with the following conditions:

◦ Never shoot at the archery back wall!

◦ Only rolling backstops are to be used for use with airguns.

◦ Airguns must not exceed a power level that would pass through backstops!!!

◦ The user is responsible for selecting pellets that are appropriate for the power of the gun!

▪Do not use high penetration pellets with high power guns!

▪ Slug are not allowed; they will cause excessive damage to the backstops.

▪ Exploding pellets (tannerite, etc.) are not allowed!

◦ Airbows are not allowed

◦ Targets must be mountable on the backstops and be of a material that will not cause ricochet and can be removed [from the backstop] when finished.

Allowed:

• Paper

• Tagboard

• Cardboard

• Clay

• Cloth

• Balloons

▪ NOT Allowed:

• Metal of any kind!!! (Includes spinners and flippers)

• Explosives

• Glass

• Wood
